THE ALUMINIUM STEWARDSHIP INITIATIVE (ASI) CERTIFICATION

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global non-profit standard setting and certification organization that brings together producers, users and stakeholders in the aluminium value chain with a commitment to maximise the contribution of aluminium to a sustainable society. This certification aims to collaboratively foster responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium.

ASI Performance Standard defines environmental, social and governance principles and criteria, with the aim to address sustainability issues in the aluminium value chain.

ASI Chain of Custody Standard sets out requirements for the creation of a Chain of Custody for CoC Material, including ASI Aluminium, which is produced and processed through the value chain into diverse downstream sectors.

ASI accredited auditing firms are responsible for conducting independent, third-party audits to certify members against the ASI standards.
